She is one of the most successful singers of all time, an actress, writer, director – it seems Barbra Streisand's talents are simply inexhaustible. This music legend has earned the respect of a huge army of listeners and has become a true icon for younger generation performers. Organizing a concert of B. Streisand's songs was an old dream of Evelina Sašenko – now it has become a reality and has been met with numerous audience ovations. “This singer is like a teacher to me, someone I look up to, whose recordings I listen to the most,” says E. Sašenko. Evelina included songs from the musicals “Funny Girl,” “Cats,” and many other popular B. Streisand songs in the concert program.

The origin of the tarantella is associated with tarantism – a disease or form of hysteria that emerged in Italy in the 14th century and, for obscure reasons, was linked to the bite of a tarantula spider. March 22 at Paliesius Manor marks the first performance in the Baltic States by legendary singer and countertenor Gérard Lesne and the baroque ensemble "Le Concert Universel"! The countertenor is an exceedingly rare voice type and the highest of all male operatic voices. Furthermore, G. Though he began his musical career as a rock singer, today G. Lesne stands as one of the most important performers of early music worldwide. He is a highly anticipated guest in the most famous concert halls, has released over 70 critically acclaimed and award-winning albums, and has received the honorable title of Chevalier of the French Order of Arts and Letters. The celebrated French pianist Jean-Marc Luisada returns to Paliesius Manor to present us with a program of F. Chopin's music! The artist won the 1985 F. Chopin competition in Warsaw and is now known throughout the world as one of the finest and most captivating interpreters of F. Chopin.
Paliesius Manor presents the very first concert by the Lars Danielsson and Grégory Privat duo in the Baltic States! Swedish double bassist Lars Danielsson is a true legend of Nordic jazz, one who continually earns boundless praise from critics. He plays the double bass with a melody and lyricism quite unlike any other, distinguished by his technical mastery, a vivid musical imagination, and an almost telepathic understanding of his fellow musicians. At Paliesius Manor, he will take the stage alongside jazz pianist Grégory Privat from Martinique, celebrated as one of the brightest talents of the new jazz scene. The duo will perform "Liberetto"—L. Danielsson’s most renowned album and the quintessence of his varied forms of expression. Striking a balance between jazz, classical music, pop music, and European folk music, the album opens an entirely new dimension of compositional processes and dramaturgy in jazz. And to this music, pianist Grégory Privat brings yet another uniquely distinctive sound.
One of the most talented contemporary pianists, Martín García García, returns to Paliesius Manor! After enchanting the audience during his debut at the manor—and his very first performance in Lithuania—in the fall of 2022, the artist has prepared a new program, which he will present in the Paliesius Concert Hall on May 4, 2024. Do not miss the opportunity to hear this talent!
