At Paliesius Manor, we strive to minimize waste through careful sorting. Our spaces are warmed by geothermal heating—one of the most eco-friendly solutions available. Geothermal energy is completely emission-free and naturally self-renewing; it is a long-lasting system that helps conserve valuable resources. Currently, we are also beginning a solar panel installation project at the estate, which will help reduce our carbon footprint even further and conserve more resources. Additionally, the electricity we purchase is 100% green, generated entirely from renewable sources. We hold the “POWERED BY GREEN” certificate.

Engaging our community is deeply important to us, and we devote special attention to both children and seniors. For our younger guests, we have organized numerous musical education activities. Between 2013 and 2016, Paliesius Manor hosted a cultural project of tremendous scale: during this period, over 6,000 students from municipalities across the entire region visited the estate. They listened to stories of the manor’s history and careful restoration, while musicians, such as the violinist Gediminas Dalinkevičius, gifted them with classical music concerts.
We also collaborate with music schools—Paliesius Manor provides the opportunity to use the “Pasaga” hall free of charge to organize events and host final concerts. Furthermore, the manor partners with Mūza Rubackytė and the Lithuanian Ferenc Liszt association “LiSZtuania,” organizers of the “Lisztofonija” competition, which seeks to share and preserve F. Liszt’s creative legacy in Lithuania. On October 20, 2023, Prof. Mūza Rubackytė held masterclasses at Paliesius Manor for the competition winners, and on October 21, the “Pasaga” concert hall hosted a performance by the laureates, jury chair Prof. Mūza Rubackytė, and other members of the jury. The concert also featured a performance by the 2021 “Lisztofonija” winner, Simonas Poška.
For our seniors, we gladly partner with the University of the Third Age, whose members frequently attend concerts at Paliesius Manor. On October 18, 2023, the manor hosted the opening celebration for the Švenčionys University of the Third Age’s 2023–2024 academic year. The gathering brought together 134 participants from Švenčionys, Pabradė, Švenčionėliai, Adutiškis, and the village of Milkuškos. Honored attendees included Švenčionys District Municipality Mayor Rimantas Klipčius and Deputy Mayor Erikas Demidovas, the Chairman of the Seniors’ Council under the Ministry of Social Security and Labor, and the Director of the Association of Universities of the Third Age. Guests were delighted by beautiful musical performances from the violinist Gediminas Dalinkevičius and the pianist Povilas Jaraminas.
Paliesius Manor also proudly collaborates with the tourism centers of surrounding regions (Ignalina TIC, Švenčionys TIC) as well as various non-profit organizations. For example, members of the region’s Order of Malta were invited to attend the Gregorian chant concert “Meditacijos Mergelei Marijai” free of charge on November 25, 2023.

The restaurant at Paliesius Manor endeavors to source as many ingredients as possible from local farms: the flour for our baked goods, for instance, is almost always purchased from local farmers. This supports the local economy. We also strive to use the highest-quality products from suppliers who adhere to strict ethical and sustainability standards.
The Paliesius Manor shop likewise offers only premium, sustainable wares. Here, for example, you will discover handmade vessels by Lithuanian ceramicist Rūta Palaimaitė, crafted from clay—a wonderfully natural material. Also available are bags made from highly ecological washable paper, linens from a maker devoted to preserving time-honored traditions, and handcrafted rugs.
The origin of each product is clearly indicated, and our guests are provided with complete information about the production process.

Paliesius Manor fosters a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees. Initiatives to balance work and personal life are in place: for example, employees may work flexible hours.
Paliesius Manor also employs many staff members from surrounding towns and villages. This contributes to the local economy, and because employees do not need to travel far for work, resources are conserved.

Paliesius Manor is a center for culture and the arts, bringing cultural heritage to life and fostering its spread. Thanks to Paliesius Manor, high-caliber culture becomes accessible to the region’s residents, for whom traveling to major cities might otherwise be inconvenient.
More broadly, Paliesius Manor champions classical music on a national scale. The popularization of baroque music is particularly notable, as it is a rare endeavor in Lithuania. For instance, a baroque consort was formed at Paliesius Manor, a truly unique initiative in the country. On September 30, 2023, an opera was authentically staged at Paliesius: English baroque composer H. Purcell’s “Didona ir Enėjas”. Conducted by maestro Christian Frattima, the performance featured the baroque orchestra Coin du Roi—one of the finest historically informed orchestras in Europe—alongside vocalists from various countries. The opera production was a co-production with the Banchetto Musicale festival.
By inviting world-renowned performers to our stage, we also elevate the profile of Lithuania itself. Furthermore, we encourage and support not only music, but also painting, photography, and other forms of art. From December 16, 2023, to March 1, 2024, an exhibition of paintings by Rasa Staniūnienė is taking place at Paliesius.

Responsible tourism is deeply encouraged at Paliesius. A special emphasis is placed on leisurely walks and cycling journeys—bicycles can be rented at Paliesius Manor. Curated cycling and walking routes are offered.
Paliesius Manor has funded the creation of wellness trails in the surrounding forests, which are groomed as cross-country skiing tracks in the winter. Within the estate park itself, the walking paths feature a special surface designed for comfortable strolling, accompanied by numerous inviting resting places. In the expansive forest stretching beside the manor, three nature trails of varying lengths await, which can be explored by following gentle trail markers or using orienteering maps.
Guests also have the opportunity to support local traditions and products: at the Paliesius restaurant, you can savor regional dishes from Aukštaitija, purchase pastries baked with local flour, and support Lithuanian artists by acquiring tableware by ceramicist Rūta Palaimaitė, and more.

Paliesius Manor is also dedicated to philanthropic endeavors. The funds raised are devoted to ensuring the continuity of our concert programming. We also host benefit concerts—for example, a benefit concert was organized at the onset of the war in Ukraine.
We also support performers such as the Kremerata Baltica orchestra, inviting the musicians to reside at Paliesius Manor so they may create, rehearse, and gift concerts to Lithuanian audiences.
