At Paliesius, you can not only relax in complete tranquility but also enjoy an active rest entirely surrounded by nature. Active leisure benefits everyone, and is particularly restorative for those engaged in mental work—allowing the body to stretch and move while giving the mind a quiet moment to rest. Even simply lingering quietly outdoors brings profound benefits: it balances your emotional state, fosters positive thinking and creativity, and improves both sleep quality and the immune system! You may explore the surroundings of Paliesius on foot, by bicycle, or by car.
Nature trails for walking. These pathways lie just a few steps away from the mano, simply within arm’s reach, and make a wonderful choice for intimately discovering the natural beauty of Paliesius Manor. In the park, where century-old trees whisper, the trails are covered with a special, comfortable walking surface, dotted with inviting places to sit and rest. The total length of the walking paths within the park spans about 1,250 meters.
If you are ready for a slightly greater challenge, we invite you to wander through the forest stretching beside the manor, where you will find three nature trails of varying distances: 8 km, 5 km, and 2.3 km. You can follow these paths using the posted signs or by navigating with an orienteering map.
Travel by bicycle. We also invite you to rent bicycles right here at the manor to explore even more of the surroundings. It is a lovely way to enjoy some light exercise while taking in the beautiful, unfolding scenery along your journey. We will gladly suggest cycling routes through Mielagėnai, the village of Mėčionys, and many other remarkable natural and cultural landmarks—all easily reachable by bike from Paliesius!
Many places to visit by car. If you choose to travel by car, you have a wonderful opportunity to more deeply explore the land of Nalšia, the historic lands of the Aukštaičiai tribe, and a beautiful region of lakes and forests. These lands of Eastern Lithuania remain wonderfully undiscovered, offering you the chance to seek out many cultural and natural landmarks—from traditional ethnographic villages and architectural monuments to picturesque hill forts.
