After four years, accordionist Martynas Levickis returns to Paliesius Manor! The concert program will feature works by Mozart, Mahler, Piazzolla, and Glass—music from distinct eras that takes on a vibrant new sound through Levickis’s interpretation.

Martynas Levickis is a world-renowned performer who is constantly expanding the boundaries of the accordion’s possibilities. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend classical, tango, and electronic music, he frequently performs in unconventional spaces. The newspaper “The Independent” has described the musician as “an amazingly talented man who single-handedly reinvented the accordion.”

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London and “Musikene” in San Sebastián, he became the first accordionist to sign with “Decca Classics” and to reach number one on the UK classical music album charts. Having received more than 30 international awards, the musician now appears at major European festivals, collaborates with top-tier artists, and is welcomed on the world’s most prestigious stages.

In the summer of 2025, Levickis was invited to the renowned “Rheingau Musik Festival” as a “focus artist”—an exclusive position. During the festival, Levickis revealed his innovative approach to accordion music by presenting seven diverse programs. Two of these, “Da Vinci’s Dream” and “Night at the Museum,” were his own original concepts, and tickets to these performances sold out instantly. While performing the “Da Vinci’s Dream” program, Levickis played the organetto, an instrument crafted according to Da Vinci’s own drawings. He has been invited back to the festival for 2026. The musician also recently performed with electronic music star Philippe Cohen Solal of the “Gotan Project” and violin virtuoso Daniel Hope, appeared at the famous “Wigmore” Hall with baritone Benjamin Appl, and recorded a song and music video in Lithuania alongside British singer Katie Melua.

However, performing is only one part of Martynas Levickis’s broad creative life. He is the founder of the “Mikroorkéstra” ensemble, the creator of international musical initiatives and residencies, a teacher at the Royal Academy of Music, and a dedicated champion of Baltic culture. His international recognition is further evidenced by the success of his album “Autograph”—recorded at Paliesius Manor and released by “ACCENTUS Music,” the album earned Martynas the title of Best Instrumentalist of 2023 at the prestigious “OPUS Klassik” awards.
