Harvest. Time to taste everything!

We invite you to an autumnal tasting of French wines. Together with our sommelier in the Manor wine cellar, we will taste four undiscovered wines from France—from a crisp sparkling to a richly sweet one. Autumn is the season of harvest, when nature yields the very best it has nurtured throughout the year. Grapes are no exception, having ripened their flavor in the sun since early spring. During the tasting, we will invite you to listen to the music of the wine—to discover its aromas, flavor harmonies, and stories. This will be a jazzy journey of taste toward new discoveries.

Closing of the Art Residency SUSIKALBĖJIMAI and Exhibition Opening

During the creative residency SUSIKALBĖJIMAI, artists from various disciplines sought a common creative language, experimenting and forging a dialogue among music, painting, and installation art. The result of this residency is a collection of new artworks, born of collaboration and inspired by the surroundings of Paliesius Manor. The event will feature: an exhibition of fine art and installations, a live music program performed by pianist Viktoras Paukštelis and percussionist Vladimiras Tarasovas, a meeting and conversations with the residency participants, and refreshments—snacks, a hot beverage, and dessert.

Kings of Bubbles

We invite you to a sparkling wine tasting. Together with a sommelier in the Manor wine cellar, we will taste four exceptional sparkling wines, including Champagne. The approaching festive season is a wonderful opportunity to acquaint yourself with the aristocracy of the sparkling wine world. Champagne is deservedly crowned the king of sparkling wines, yet a constellation of other impressive names shines alongside it. During our tasting, we will journey through renowned sparkling wine regions, exploring the nuances of their production, the etiquette of bubbles, and the reasons why these wines have graced life’s most momentous celebrations for centuries.

How to Smell Wine? An Afternoon of Discovery with Nose-Training Exercises

June. Everything around us is beautifully fragrant. The meadows, the summer flowers, even the trees and shrubs. And the world of wine, too, is full of colorful aromas! It is no coincidence that the nose is such a vital participant in wine tasting. During this tasting in the Manor wine cellar, we will reacquaint ourselves with our noses and learn the profound influence they have on the overall understanding, perception, and flavor characteristics of a wine, while discovering just how well we can distinguish different scents. You can look forward not only to fun aroma challenges prepared by the sommelier and specially selected fragrant (or not necessarily so) wines, but also to many other revealed secrets: for example, what other parts of the body participate in tasting wine!

After a stay of nearly a month at Paliesius Manor, we invite you to a special afternoon—a farewell to the cycle of twelve lithographs, "King Solomon's Song of Songs" by the Litvak artist Théo Tobiasse, from the collection of Dr. Shmuel Tatz. This event opens a new cycle of cultural encounters dedicated to the theme of the 2026 European Days of Jewish Culture—love. We have chosen to explore this theme through one of humanity's oldest and most beautiful texts, the "Song of Songs" (Shir Hashirim), which for over two millennia has inspired poets, artists, musicians, and thinkers to continuously reimagine love, beauty, and the human connection.

A Journey Through the World of Sunny Provence Wines

Before the concert by renowned actor and singer Pino de Vittorio, we invite you to visit Provence! This sunny Southern French region by the Mediterranean Sea is celebrated for its elegant, crisp, and subtle wines, especially its rosés. Summers in Provence are intensely hot, yet the wines originating here pair beautifully with fresh Lithuanian summers. A diverse array of grapes is cultivated in Provence. In the white wines of Provence, Rolle dominates, offering a crisp and citrusy taste. In the rosés—Grenache and Cinsault, imparting fruitiness and elegance. In the reds, Syrah and Mourvèdre are more widely used—for structure, spice, and maturity.

We invite you to an open afternoon of discovery—a journey through the world of French wines alongside a beverage expert. During the event, you will be introduced to France’s most celebrated regions—Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Provence, and Alsace—exploring the grape varieties they nurture and their prevailing styles of flavor. You will experience how the nuances of white and red wines shift depending on the region. This is a perfect opportunity not only to taste an array of different wines and discover the ones that speak to you most, but also to deepen your understanding of what makes each wine exceptional and how to appreciate it. The tasting will feature a selection of 6–8 distinct wines from across various French regions. Guiding you on this journey will be the experienced wine connoisseur Juozas Kabašinskas.

On April 19, we invite you to embark on an extraordinary historical hike—to discover the traces of the First World War hidden close by. Though over 100 years have passed since the end of the First World War (1914–1918) and this chapter of history has slipped into oblivion, the fortifications bearing witness to that era still endure as striking elements of the landscape. They catch the eye, guiding our thoughts back to the events and painful experiences of the past. On both sides of the Adutiškis–Vidžiai road (Didžiasalis eldership), along a stretch of approximately 50 km (part of which lies within the territory of Belarus), more than 50 German army military structures of various purposes still remain...
