On October 3 at 4:00 PM, we invite you to a tasting where we will discover how the soil shapes the character of a wine. Together with our sommelier in the Manor wine cellar, we will taste four wines of different terroirs: two white and two red, grown in diverse soils—from limestone to clay or marl.

It is the soil that determines how the grape’s aromas unfold, the character the wine acquires, and how wines of the exact same grape variety will differ when grown in different regions. During the tasting, we will seek out these differences, compare flavors, and understand why winemakers speak of terroir with such reverence. Let this tasting be an introduction to the unseen creator of wine—the earth.
