How the Earth Creates Wine
Description
On October 3 at 4:00 p., we invite you to a tasting where we will discover how soil shapes the character of wine. Together with a sommelier in the Manor wine cellar, we will taste four wines of different “terroir”: two whites and two reds, grown in varying soils — from limestone to clay or marl.
It is precisely the soil that determines how the aromas of the grapes unfold, what character the wine acquires, and how even wines from the same grape variety, grown in different regions, will differ. During the tasting, we will look for these differences, compare flavors, and understand why winemakers speak of “terroir” with such reverence. Let this tasting become an introduction to the invisible creator of wine — the earth.
We are also delighted to share that Paliesius Manor has won a Silver Star on the Star Wine List for 2025!
Event duration: 1.5 hours
