Paliesius village was established after 1557, when the Grand Duchy of Lithuania underwent feudal land reform. Residents moved from isolated homesteads and created a street village. In 1830, there were 12 homesteads in the village, and in 1866, 266 residents lived here. At one time, Paliesius village was even the center of the district.
