On February 3, 2024, after earning first place in the prestigious 9th International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano Competition, South Korean pianist Jinhyung Park held his first solo concert at Paliesius Manor.
Jinhyung Park was born in 1996 in Seoul, Korea, and began learning to play the piano at the age of five. He studied at Yonsei University under Professor Ian Yungwook Yoo, and is currently continuing his master’s studies at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under Prof. Arie Vardi.
He held his first recital in 2009 as part of the Kumho Prodigy Concert Audition program. Following his debut recital, he has given many solo recitals both at home and abroad, including the 2017 Prague Spring Festival and the 2019 Animato-sponsored concerts in Bratislava and Paris. In addition to numerous solo recitals, he has also performed with Kunwoo Paik at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Slovak Symphony Orchestra in Bratislava, the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, the Málaga Symphony Orchestra in Spain, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra in Canada, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Bass Hall in Texas, the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra at the Konzerthaus hall, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Orchestra in Vilnius, the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gwacheon Philharmonic Orchestra, the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea. Furthermore, he was awarded the Yamaha Music Korea Scholarship and the Shinhan Music Award.
