In the film “In Search of Silence”, renowned world musicians meet in one of the most mysterious places in Lithuania – Paliesius Manor. Their thoughts and insights about culture, nature, and music are accompanied by premonitions of the world’s future.
In the documentary film, famous classical and jazz music performers reflect on the deepest existential questions. The film was in production for four years, and director Aleksas Matvejevas’s goal was to capture the thoughts of the film’s protagonists during different seasons, revealing the beauty, subtlety, and melancholy of the surroundings of northeastern Lithuania.
“In Search of Silence” reveals how one small place can bring together many different and brilliant personalities.
