Paliesius Manor is first mentioned in historical sources in 1671, noting the manor’s owners, the Tyzenhauzas family. We know that at the time, a small bathhouse and a brewery stood beside the Kančiogina stream, and the natural surroundings were already indescribably beautiful—indeed, Paliesius itself was named for this setting, signifying a place nestled by a little forest, “paliesiuje.”
