Description
On March 13, we welcome all jazz fans to Paliesius Manor! The concert will feature three jazz greats: saxophonist Petras Vyšniauskas, pianist Tomas Kutavičius, and percussionist Arkadijus Gotesmanas.
Petras Vyšniauskas – a laureate of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts, and one of the most prominent performers of Lithuanian jazz and improvisational music. He has performed in more than 70 countries, collaborated with world-class musicians, recorded dozens of albums, and contributed to the establishment of a professional saxophone school in Lithuania.
Tomas Kutavičius – a pianist and composer who uniquely combines the worlds of improvisational and academic music. As a jazz pianist, he has performed at international festivals in Lithuania and abroad – including Willisau, Lucerne (Switzerland), Detroit (USA), and “Sons d’Hiver” (France). As a composer, he has created symphonic and chamber works for the “Gaida” festival, as well as music for the theater.
Arkadijus Gotesmanas – one of the most creative and productive Lithuanian jazz creators, an alchemist of sounds. He is active not only as a percussionist and composer, but also as a poet, director, educator, associate professor at LMTA, and producer. He composes and records music for the theater, performs it in plays, writes scripts for musical performances and installations, and organizes projects with dancers, writers, actors, and visual artists, as well as his own original performances.
