We invite you to start autumn with a heart full of music!
On September 6, at Paliesius Manor – a heartfelt concert “How to preserve music in the soul”. The charming singer Judita Leitaitė, together with violinist Paulina Daukšytė-Šereckienė, cellist Marius Dominykas Sakavičius, and pianist Jurijus Suchanovas, will present familiar and beloved melodies to the audience. Music that revives memories, brings smiles to faces, and invites you to sing along on your way home after the concert. The first part of the concert will feature classical music, and the second part will present Lithuanian and film music.
Listeners and fans know Judita Leitaitė as an actively performing charming chamber music artist, laureate of international competitions, and LTMA associate professor. However, the artist’s musical activity has been recognized not only by the audience. She has been awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Vytautas the Great for her merits to Lithuanian culture, in 2005 she was awarded the Government Culture and Art Prize, in 2007 she became a “Golden Disc” laureate, and she has also been awarded the medal “For Merits to Vilnius and the Nation” and the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture award “Carry your light and believe”.
Violinist Paulina Daukšytė-Šereckienė entered the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University in 2012 (prof. R. Butvila’s class). She studied in assoc. prof. R. Bliškevičius’s class. At the age of seven, she began performing with her mother, singer J. Leitaitė. She played in a youth orchestra, toured with an orchestra conducted by S. Sondeckis in Salzburg (Austria), St. Petersburg (Russia), and performed in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, USA. She gained experience by performing in churches, schools, and towns. She plays in the Kaunas music ensemble “Ainiai”. She participates in festivals. Her repertoire is adorned not only with classical and contemporary music by foreign composers but also by composers such as J. Gruodis, B. Dvarionas, J. Pakalnis, B. Kutavičius, A. Šenderovas.
Cellist Marius Dominykas Sakavičius is a laureate of several national and international competitions. For example, in 2019 he won the first prize at the XI International Alexander Glazunov Competition in Paris as a soloist and the first prize at the international “Art of Sound” competition as a member of the piano trio “Trio Bohemiae”. He has performed not only in Lithuania but also in Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Denmark, Israel, Great Britain, and other countries. He actively participates in various contemporary art projects.
Jurijus Suchanovas – pianist, composer, accompanist. He accompanies at Vilnius Algirdas Music School, in Jolanta Stumbrienė’s singing class and Audra Dainienė’s violin class, and at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, in assoc. prof. Judita Leitaitė’s singing class.
