Paliesius Manor has seen wars. The estate served as one of the organizing centers for the uprising of 1830–1831. In 1915, as World War I reached Eastern Lithuania and the German army launched its offensive into the territory of the Russian Empire, the front line stretched close to Paliesius—it is possible that the manor itself was requisitioned to serve the needs of the soldiers. Later, just before World War II, this part of Lithuania fell into Belarusian territory, and the manor was nationalized.
